The longest Driverless Metro Network
Dubai is home to the longest driverless metro line in the world. The Dubai Metro Red Line is 52.1 km in length. Dubai Metro’s second line, Greenline is 22.5 km which when combined with the Red Line makes it longer than the Vancouver Skytrain.
It's not just a name - there's a museum that holds items from the future
Museums are well known for hosting artefacts of the past, but not at The Museum of the Future. Located next to Emirates Towers on Sheikh Zayed Road, the structure itself is an engineering marvel featuring a façade of ornate Arabic calligraphy. The museum provides an incubator for ideas and a driver for innovation and visitors can enjoy interactive experiences with futuristic technology.
The world’s deepest pool at Deep Dive Dubai
Located in Nad Al Sheba, Deep Dive Dubai measures 60.02 meters in length and can hold 14 million liters of water, equal to six Olympic-sized swimming pools. The pool features a sunken city, complete with an abandoned streetscape, apartment, garage, arcade and other interesting features – taking visitors into another world.
A Book Shaped Library with 10 million books.
Located by the Dubai Creek, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library’s design is inspired by the shape of the Rehl (a traditional lectern. It offers more than 10 million books across seven stories and is home to a 500-seat theatre and multiple interactive zones. Opening soon.
